The remote device should control how it wants to connect and the PS4 should just listen either way. Having the option on the PS4 is dumb because obviously the user is logging in remotely. I just wish you could toggle the direct connect from the Vita rather than the PS4. In many cases you're better off sitting near a wireless router with your vita and hard lining the PS4. The problem however, is that these environments are hard to come by. In a interference free area a direct connection does provide the least dropped frames and lowest latency you can get. These operate around the 2.4 spectrum and will interfere with your connection. Back to Remote Play, enter the codes, and click Register. Select Add Device, and the codes will appear on the screen. Go back to your PlayStation 4, and head over to Settings > Remote Play Connection Settings. Baby monitors, microwaves, cell phone/tablet wifi connections, bluetooth devices, on and on and on. Click Register Manually at the left bottom corner. The location of your PS4 (enclosed in entertainment center? Another room?) The frequency your PS4 is using if wireless (5ghz is better, but direct connect only works via 2.4 cause Vita) How the PS4 connects to the internet (wired/wireless) This 100% has to do with your environment.
